Jaroff

Jarof is a borzoi, who came to me after the death of his former owner. He was 2½ years old then. Jaroff was born at Kennel Lhaghana in Brønderslev, his full name is Lhaghana Jaroff of Zarina. Or for short: Mr. Fine.
Jaroff feels comfortable in the sofa at home, or enjoying the smell of the flowers in the garden. But his body also calls for action; at the beach he can reach impressing speeds, and he uses a lot of tricks. Borzois dont need long bicycle rides, but rather short sprints.
Cosy living Full speed

Borzois are often somewhat shy towards unknown humans, which makes it difficult (or not easy) to get a right impression of the friendly an charming haracter of these dogs. They have a strong hunting instinct; there is always a risk that smaller house pets could be mistaken as prey is thus present.
The borzoi is an old Russian breed, used for wolf hunting. The term Russian Wolfhound is now and then used for borzois. Most humans, and all borzois see the borzoi as a beautiful dog. There is a certain amount of care needed with the coat, but Jaroff likes coat care very much, as it makes him feel so fine!
Jaroff weighs 29 kilo (64 pounds), and his shoulder height is 77cm (30 3/8").
